You Are Enough – Because God Says So

Have you ever felt like you just don’t measure up, no matter how hard you try, and you're just not good enough?

If we’re honest, most of us would admit that we’ve all had times like that, times when we’ve quietly listened to the lies of the enemy filling us with all sorts of insecurities. You know the ones I’m talking about – those toxic, damaging whispers the devil tries to speak into our ears:

“You’re too young.”

“You’re not smart enough.”

“You’re not pretty enough.”

“You’re too broken.”

“God couldn’t possibly use you, or love you.”

Dear readers, if you’ve ever felt this way, you are not alone.

I’ve had my fair share of insecurities too. I’ve believed lies that God never wanted me to carry. There have been seasons where I didn’t feel smart enough. As an adult who struggles with learning difficulties, I know how challenging it can be. Not everything comes easy for me. Sometimes, I just don’t get things, no matter how hard I try. For a long time, I didn’t feel ‘smart enough’ – academically speaking. But over the years, God has been healing me of those thoughts.

Even though I still have moments of frustration, I’ve learned to be gentler and more patient with myself. I’ve come to believe, and often remind myself, that God loves me just the way I am. And you know what the best part is about all this? He still chooses to use me! He hasn’t disqualified me. In fact, He delights in using what the world considers weak to show His strength.

“My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” —2 Corinthians 12:9

This verse emphasizes that God's strength is revealed and perfected in our human limitations and vulnerabilities. When we acknowledge our weaknesses, we create space for God's power to operate in and through us.

Friend, don’t let the lies and the insecurities weigh you down or stop you from doing or being someone God created you to be.

Whether you've been told that you're too young, too old, not pretty enough, not smart enough, or just not good enough – DON'T BELIEVE IT!!!

Believe what God says about you (see Ephesians 1:3-14).

Prove the enemy wrong, and let God prove Himself faithful in your life. He will never leave your side.

Let’s pray together:

Dear God,We all wrestle with lies from the enemy – lies that tell us we’re not enough. But You, Lord, have spoken a better word over us. Help us stop believing these damaging voices. Help us, instead, to believe the truth, the truth that tells us that we are Your children, and that we are made in the image of a perfect King, and that we are deeply loved.

That’s the truth, and we choose to believe it today.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen.
