LIFE’S JOURNEY✨

Life can be a beautiful journey filled with happiness and joy.  Then there are days that feel long, heavy, and overwhelming. At times, we may feel lost, lonely, or even bitter from the struggles we face. Circumstances we never saw coming can leave us frustrated, depleted, or angry.

With all that being said, here’s some questions for all of us to answer.

• How’s your journey going?
• Is your path straight and narrow?
• Is it filled with twists and turns you didn’t expect?
• Does it feel full of potholes and obstacles?

Many times, life feels never-ending. We forget how fleeting time truly is. We think the season we’re in, especially the hard ones, will last forever. We convince ourselves the storm won’t stop, the rain will never let up. But the truth is, life can change in a moment. 

As Christians we do not have to face any trials on our own. We have a Savior in Jesus Christ who took all that away for us. 

“Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” —Isaiah 41:10

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”---Matthew 11:28

If today feels like it will never end, don’t forget about Jesus. He faced trials too. In the wilderness, He endured hunger, loneliness, and even the devil’s temptations (see Matthew 4:1-11).  Yet through it all, God never turned His back on Him. And just as God never abandoned His Son, He will never abandon you.

When you feel weak, remember how Jesus trusted His Father fully. Remember how God sent angels to strengthen Him. Remember that we aren’t called to lean on our own understanding, but to lean fully on God. Trust in Him and He will see you through life’s ups and downs.

Prayer

God, so often we try to get through life on our own, but the missing key is You. You are our strength when we feel weak. You make our crooked paths straight when the road feels dark and twisted. Everything we need is found in You. Remind us today, and every day, how much we need Your presence. Show us how much better life is when we walk closely by Your side. Amen.
